Hurricane Harvey Damage Claims: Liberty Ready to Help with Processing

Liberty Mutual, one of the leading insurance companies of the country, has announced that it is ready to help victims of Hurricane Harvey. The company said that it has already sent a team of 400 professionals including claims experts to the affected areas of Texas. This team will contact homeowners and others who have been badly affected because of the storm and the flooding and help them in processing their claims.

In a press release, Liberty said that nearly 2000 specialists will be made available through phone lines to help and assist customers who have their automobiles and homes damaged because of Harvey. Liberty has also set up temporary mobile units to help in processing of auto and home claims. One of these mobile units is stationed in Humble and the other in The Woodlands.

Liberty has pressed into service most of its workforce Michael Fiato, Chief Claims Officer of Liberty Mutual said that the first priority of the company at the moment is to reach out to its customers who are deeply stressed. This is the reason why the company has made available a strong workforce of more than 2400 professionals in areas that have been worst affected by Harvey. These experts are making sure that the company is responding to the claims applications of the customers in the fastest possible time. It is the aim of the company to make sure that anyone who has experienced losses because of the storm should not suffer during the process of making claims.

Once the customer has reached a safe place, he can contact Liberty Mutual by phone, internet, or by visiting the temporary mobile units arranged by the company. Liberty has said that in addition to helping in processing of claims, it will also report these claims on behalf of victims to the National Flood Insurance Program.
